Hello folks,

I have a 1977 year Ford 2000. The diesel pump is leaking from some location that I cannot locate or actually see. Can anyone give me a hint as to what may be the problem or where my leak may be coming from?

.. this might have been a good post.. in the FORD forum.

So you can't see or locate a leak.. provided no picture.. and didn't tell uss if it was an inline or rotary pump.. and you think we can guess you to the right place of the leak.

PS. 2000 3 cyl were made 65-75.. so what do you really have?

a 2600 maybee or?

Post some pics and fill in the blanks so we can help.

try spraying the injector pump off with carb or brake cleaner.. it will flash off to a dry look, and then the diesel oily sheen will start seeping from the area of the leak. that's the easiest way to start narrowing it down.

post back with some pics, correct info and observations.
