I have 720 loader on an 1841 4000 series tractor. I'm trying to repack the bucket cylinder.Took off the gland nut with a spanner wrench but the piston rod won't come out of the bore. Here are some pics.Anyone ever dealt with a sticking piston? Dan

Some of those also have a locking ring inside the bore of the cylinder that has to be removed for the end to come out. You can check it out on the free JD parts online web site..

Thanks for the info Jo Bird. There was no locking ring, circlip or retaining wire. I was able to pound it out with a heavy lump hammer. Turns out that the stainless rod was bent also. Having a new one made as we speak. Thanks for your knowledge. Once again YTS.com comes through again. Dan
