Steel line compression fittings

Power steering line has a pin hole leak in it where someone brazed it before. I'd like to cut the line and union it with a compression fitting. Will a compression fitting handle 1500 psi? thanks.

The make compression fittings specifically for hydraulic use, steel with steel ferrules.

Probably the most common/easiest to get ahold of, most places that make hydraulic hose can make you up a short hose with a compression fitting at each end.

had one like that the other day on a hydr cooler line , i cut the bad part (1/2")out and put a brass compression union in cause max pressure is only 300 PSI.
For 1500 PSI a steel union might be better.

Thanks bison, the pinhole is in the middle of the braze weld and just want to cut that section out. Looks like some steel couplings are available out there.

Steel compression fittings are used on injection molding machines for pressures over 2000 psi from the factory new.

I worked in the Power Plant industry for many years and we use Swageloc Compression fitting on 3000 to3500 psi steam lines with no problems.

I was with a major Natural Gas Pipeline for 39+ years and we used either SWAGELOK or PARKER compression fittings. They are the Cadillac of compression fittings.
