I have owned my IH for several years now and last year before I parked it oil started running out of the dipstick tube, no pressure just real runny oil. And it doesn't smell like gas. Any ideas please I sure miss using it.

My guess would be hydraulic fluid coming from the pump.
When the seal goes bad. Hydraulic fluid leaks out and
enters the crank case through the timing cover.
Is it low on hydraulic fluid?.

i finally was able to check the hydrolic fluid and yes it was low any ideas thanks

The seals in the hydraulic pump need replaced. The hydraulic pump drives off the timing gears. When the seals go bad. Fluid leaks
out of the pump and enters the engine through the timing gear front cover.

Is that where the pipes go to the front on the right side. And is it hard to change. Thanks for the information.
