We have a weird clunk when the fly wheel is turning. There is no loss of oil pressure. The tractor is a 1955 JD70 hp. Any ideas of what it might be? This tractor is my hubbys baby so I am ho[ping to find an answer for him. He doesn't want to tear the tractor down to find it at this point as we plan to move from Alaska to the lower 48 next year and don't want to take it as a basket case. I am hoping that it is something simple such as a loose bolt on the fly wheel or the like. I am not familiar with the proper words but will do my best to explain if you need to ask a question in order to give an answer. Peace Connie

I am no expert on the '70' but have some experience with the G and A. I would
suspect that you have a flywheel that is loose on the crankshaft or has too
much end clearance. This is the first thing to check.
