Radiator Core Care

Should I do anything with the radiator core? It has always been fine. I soaked the inside with vinegar and water for a day and then flushed
it out with water. I am painting, so before I put the tractor back together, I was wondering if I should do anything with the outside of the
core? I thought maybe I should just leave it alone. However, what do you think?

Leave it , the screen will cover it anyway. Ron Mn

Old, brittle, radiator cores are not something that you should mess around with. One mistake and you will have to pay a rather large bill.

I can't tell you for sure but it has been posted on here that they make special paint for them. You can get aerosol epoxie paint that is intended for frame and underbody use that is supposed to adhere well without a lot of prep.

ditto on what's been said, either get the special radiator paint ( doesn't inhibit heat flow ) or leave it as is. Either will be fine. Bill
