John Deere "D" Gas shut off valve 3 way

JOHN DEERE "D" GAS 3 way shut off valve. Can this valve be replaced without removing the hood & tank ?

You should be able to take fuel lines off valve and then unscrew the valve from the fuel tank.

Thanks for the reply, I think you are right, would also have to remove the shaft the rod attaches to which turns it on & off . LOOKs like a close fit to the bottom of the tank when I go to spin it off.

It came out . with the clearance of a thickness of a piece of paper at the bottom of the tank.
