'57 Ford 860 Lift arms (down) don't respond to hydraulics. Can be manually lifted but are just loose and return to lowered position. Oil level seems fine. Any trouble shooting recommendations?

Can be manually lifted but are just loose and return to lowered position.".....this is normal as there is not a hard link between ram and arms (ram can push but not pull). Remove plug from top/front of pump & see if it will pump oil out.

First off you will get more answers in the Ford forum down lower.
Plus you need to give more info. Did this just happen all at once or has it sat a long time and lost prime maybe. You may have a stuck unloader valve which will cause that. Pump may have lost prime which will also cause that

Pump has lost prime. What works best is to force air into the diff. dipstick hole and
hold it for awhile. It should oil into the pump. Chuck
