MF 65C 1957 HOW TO REPLACE FAN BELT WITH FRONT PUMP

Good morning all,
I recently purchased an awesome 1957 MF 65 C. While testing the tractor prior to purchasing I noticed the fan belt was almost shot. During transport onto the flat bed, the belt broke, but luckily enough it had a spare one with it. (should have known it was a pain to replace then)

Anyway the tractor has a front mounted hydraulic pump mounted for a loader. There is a small shaft that runs through to the front pump, so I can not get the belt around the crank without removing that. I started to remove the front pump, and that is moved out of the way. I now have just a shaft sticking out of the front. I thought it would be easy to pull out (spline) or perhaps unscrew, but it doesn't pull out and when i try to unscrew it, the crank moves too. I am sure that someone has figured this out already, so figured id ask the experts. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

A dealer should have a tool. Do you live in Mn. I have a homemade one. You will need an
impact wrench as that will loosen the threads. Most are LH threads. I have loaned this
out many times if you are close to Mpls. Chuck
