u-445 final drive oil.

Goodday all, new to this site so sorry if this has been
asked before. I'm fixing up a old UTB u-445, I need to
know what kind of oil is recomended in the final
drive, and what level should I fill it to, thanks.

Straight weight 50 or 60 motor oil is just as thick as 90 and 140wt gear oil. Easier to find than GL-1. Yellow metal safe and has an anti wear additive package.

The level plug is on the back side and I'll look it up to be sure but think it calls for
90W.Its the same rear as the AC 5040,Long 445,Oliver 1265 etc BTW.
