New User
installed new float, needle valve & seat.
adjusted float many times, engine starts quickly, runs great at lower RPM, no gas leak from carb w/engine off- Problem- when move throttle to approx 3/4 RPM or above, need to pull choke out at least 1/2 way for engine to run smoothly. higher the RPM, more choke needed. thanks in advance for suggestions
 
Either gas flow to the carb is restricted, or the main jet/power circuit in the carb is clogged/dirty/restricted.
 
As Bob says. Does it have the adjustable main jet that sits low on the carb and is horizontal?? Or does it have the man jet that has the plug on top of it?? Either way you can pull the plug off or the main jet out and make sure you get a good flow of gas out of it for a few minters. Maybe even stick a piece of small wire or as I use a torch tip cleaner tool and poke the main jet out
 
has plug in front of main jet. cleaned jet but will do again using the old torch tip cleaner trick.

Very likely to have some rust.dirt clogging it up some. Should be able to pull that cap off and get a pretty good flow of gas out of it when open.
 
It's easy to change the diameter of the bore in the jet with a torch tip cleaner, that is a bit or a file.

Unless, of course, you know the size and have the correct bit.

I use individual strands of copper wire salvaged from insulated, stranded copper wire.
 
I have never had any trouble with making the bigger but I also try to use the right size and I do not work it real hard to the point it is filing it open more

rebuilt my carb for a 130 was cleaned and replace float and needle an seat but will run only 20 to 30 seconds and quit can choke it with no response but will recrank after it goes dead by choking it any help?
