I have a 4500 ford backhoe built in the 1970’s. I
was using the backhoe and the tractor motor
stopped running. I assumed I ran it out of diesel
fuel. I have had 2 different people try and get it
started by bleeding the lines, changing the oil
and oil filter, spraying ether into it. The
tractor has started but only ran for a moment. at
first there was no fuel coming out of the overflow
but last time it did but still will not start. Any
suggestions before I have to bring in the local
ford dealer to see if they can help? Any help
would be greatly appreciated. Dawn
