Removing the throttle lever from 1955, TO35

I'm trying to remove the dash from my TO35. Got all gauges loose but the throttle lever and adjustments are so rusted up, I can't determine the best way to remove the throttle lever. I've read one post that suggested loosening the friction disk assembly and lowering it but I still can't determine how the lever comes out of the adjustment linkage. All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, D.Waldrop in MS

mine is rusted apart on one end. But I believe the end connected to the friction wheel slides back to release it from the little ball joint on the friction wheel.

Thanks for the info. I got it off and that was the way I got it. Take the cotter pin out and back off on the adjusment and it slips right off the "pin". Taking the 55 model apart is a challenge but "ain't" it fun?

ot as much fun as using it. I have a few things that need to be fixed on mine still but I have to get finished using it first. The more I use it the more I need it. Soon though....
