Starting to do the wiring on my 1951 Super A. The wiring diagram shows the negative from the battery hooks to the starter and the positive to the tractor. So this means we have positive ground. My Ford 851 has positive ground.Are they the same. Thanks.

NOT sure exactly what you mean by "Are they the same"?

All I can say is that (+) ground was the norm in that era, as was having the #1 cylinder up front, next to the radiator.

I don't think we ever did get you straightened out on that, though, did we???

All 6 volt systems and early 12 volts were pos. ground.
