Farmall super mta clutch and ta adjustment

I have just recently put a new clutch and pressure plate in my Farmall Super Mta. When im backing up a hill and push the clutch in the tractor stops moving and wont freewheel down the hill unless i pull the TA. It also wont come out of gear unless the TA is pulled. On level ground everything works as it should. I am wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and if so any advice would be appreciated.

Adjust the TA linkage BY THE BOOK and that should solve the problem.

I had issues with my 300, but I did not put any
new parts in the clutch or TA. I adjusted it by
the book but the book was published when these
tractors were new, and not meant to be able to
predict 60 years worth of wear and tear. The book
will familiarize yourself with the process of
adjusting the linkage, but doesn't guarantee
success. Play around with it, 5 turns this way, 3
turns back, to find the point where it releases as
it is supposed to. Good luck
