Farmall A torque values

I'm replacing the head gasket on my Farmall A because the first one that I put on, leaked. The head and block are flat and in good condition, I think that I didn't have the head hold down nuts tight enough. I couldn't find any values in the Farmall handbook that I have, also, I didn't coat the gasket with any type of sealer, just put it on dry. The new gasket that I have, one side of it is steel.
Someone said that the original gaskets were that way from the factory.
If anyone has some tips on this, I would appreciate it, I don't want to make the same mistakes twice!

Thanks!
