RT forklift mast repair/modification

I have a RT forklift that wears the bottom rollers out rapidly here in the sand. A rental TR forklift we used had steel blocks in place of the bottom rollers. would this be a worthwhile modification?

Could be worthwhile, but I'd do some research first. Might start with a visit to the rental yard, ask some questions, look at what they've done, look at how the track is holding up. Could be the factory made the change, if it's the same brand/model, could be something that could be bought and retrofitted.

Just keep in mind the liability of modifying something. If it breaks and someone gets hurt...
