My front end coupler driven hydro pump works fine however there is a small bic like pen tube black in color on bottom of pump that squirts straight fluid out about an inch in the air anytime the tractor is running with rear lift arms up or down loaded or unloaded. Any idea why this is happening....

Not supposed to be a lot of oil there. It's likely
your main pressure "quad seal" inside the pump is
leaking.

I agree with buickanddeere, that's a case drain. It's supposed to have a line attached to it to direct what does leak back to the reservoir. It is loosing a small amount of fluid there, but worse, it's letting dirt get into the seal area, and somewhere there is an open ended line that used to be attached there, leading back to the reservoir, that is letting contamination get in there too.

Yes, it's a bleed tube, or "drain" but not
supposed to be squirting oil in the way the poster
described.
