1986 John Deere 420 garden tractor - Hydraulics

Hi folks
I am newly registered to this forum after a long search for some
assistance via the web.

My tractor has a very leaky 3-leaver hydraulic valve.
The local dealer says that this valve is no longer available.
I took it apart some time ago to see if I could find replacement
O-rings for it. Found some.
The BIG problem now is - I have forgotten how to put it back together - Which piston goes in which valve segment?

Could someone please help
Thank you in advance for your help

I've never been into one of these but have had the same
problem , find a picture the parts counter guys use and
print it off, maybe off JD site or have dealer do it
for you.
Good luck

RLS_ia is right, go to the JD parts online web site and search for 420. Sec 1925-420 Lawn and garden Tractor, sectional index, sub section 70 Hydraulics, shows two valves used according to serial numbers #82 is (-421525) and #83 is (421526 - ).

As others said, go to JDparts and find your valve. It will have a very good picture.

and, I recommend weekendfreedommachines.com for tech help. Really knowledgeable crew over there.
