1937 Unstyled A Carb

Bought 1937 A recently. Every 2-cylinder I owned the choke lever forward
is off choke, back toward the seat is choke. This tractor is completely opposite.
Could the carb be put together wrong or is this the way it is supposed to be?
Thanks in advance for any opinion on this. It is a DLTX Carb.

My 1935 A is like that forward to choke and back choke off.

Should be a dltx 18 and yes they all (without dash mounted choke control rod) are like that since you will be hand starting and operating the choke from standing down by it while starting.

Look on the choke lever, there will be a line on the choke lever shaft that shows you what position the choke disk is in.

I have 2 B's, both hand start & the choke is opposite on them.
