Jubilee valve boots.

Putting the head back together for my jubilee. Got a gasket set from yesterday's tractor. There are 4 rubber boots in the set. I know they go on the valves but I'm not sure if they go on the intake or exhaust valve.

They go on the intake valves. They help to prevent oil getting pulled past the guides.

Thanks. I would not have figured it out. That's what I get for waiting 4 months before putting it back together.

They are called umbrella seals, per the shape of them.

Yep, they only go on the intakes because the exhaust valve guides are never exposed to vacuum.
