Can someone please tell me how to easily "Sight Time" my TO20 tractor...My Father is 90 and removed the Distributor without needing to..I cut him some slack on it...But, now I would appreciate the help to get it timed again..I am not Timing Light friendly...LoL. :?

Find TDC (top dead center on number one piston)first. As you replace the distributor the rotor will turn some. Have the gear turn the rotor so it points to number one wire terminal on the distributor when the distributor is all the way down. Then turn the distributor back and fourth watching the points and lock it down when the points are just ready to open up and spark.

Number one piston (cylinder) is at the front of the tractor.

Dick L has it right, but you have to be sure #1 is in compression stroke on it's way up. Pull #1 plug, hold your finger over the plug hole, turn the engine clockwise until you feel compression. Bring it to top dead center. The timing mark is under a plug by the starter. Look through the hole, the marks are on the flywheel.
