Farmall C or Super C trans seal

I just replaced the front trans seal on my Farmall C tractor and did so by splitting the tractor at the front of the trans.Since I had rebuilt the engine and clutch earlier this year I decided to split it back there.I had already built jack stands to bolt to the sides of the torque tube so I reattached them and used a floor jack under the back of the trans.I removed the two bolts at the rear of the driveshaft yolk from underneath,I discovered that removing the battery and the front cover of the instrument panel and removed the 3 bolts holding the instrument panel to the top of the trans. Then I used a rope and simply tied the steering wheel and column to the rafters in my pole barn and raised it enough to clear the trans. When re-aligning the trans,I used 2 bolts about 2 inches longer than the stock bolts just to align the torque tube only.If you take your hand and shove the driveshaft forward and align it into the clutch before you reattach the torque tube, you can use the longer bolts to draw the trans together meanwhile watching from underneath to realign the driveshaft with the flange.Took about 2 hours to complete, just make sure you have the engine and torque tube on jack stands properly before you crawl under it.
