case 430 injectors

We have removed the injectors (2 bolt hold down) from my case 430, at
least one of the 4 where sticking.
Now the question is, where or how can we reset the
injectors. Have been told on another forum, here
on Yesterdays Tractors, they should be set at
2500lbs, I believe they said there is a 10%
variable for used injectors.
Grandson works at a diesel truck shop and they
don't have the adaptors for these injectors.
I don't know very much about this subject.

Yes, 2500 PSI opening pressure is with a new spring, is OK to set up to 10% less. Don't remember what the inlet adapter size is, the three common sizes are 9/16 ermeto sleeve, 12 x 1.5 MM, and 14 X 1.5 MM. Might try any tractor shop close to you, if they have a poptester they should have the right adapter to set them.

Do you have the early nozzles with replaceable tips or the later pencil injectors? If you have pencil injectors they should NOT be reset. Their opening pressure settles and lowers over time. When you try to raise the pressure to new injector specs - they often will not work right.

Now, if you have pencil injectors and had them apart for some reason (like cleaning) then you need to set them at "used" opening specs. Not "new."
