clemco sandblaster

has anyone ever seen a clemco sandblaster with the
smaller tank chamber on the side of the pot? what is
it.
i just bought this and trying to figure it out. it's
an oldie 1963

Can't really see how everything is plumbed up, but my guess would be it's a water trap.

From what I see,I'd say it is a water trap. On my LINDSAY with one much like that, I leave the petcock on bottom of trap cracked to let moisture out as I use it.
**PROBABLY ** a manual online .New those are $$$$ machines.

yes it is a water trap, i contacted clemco and
that is what they said, this unit was made in
1963, and it is in great condiution, yes these
are big bucks, the tech support said to remove
the water trap and replace it with a newer
version,
