Case 730 diesel tank

I have a 1963 Case 730 with a broken diesel tank. It has a hole on the side. How should I fix it?

I would take it off, thoroughly clean it, inside and out, indent the spot, and then fit a 1/16" thick patch from flat stock and BRAZE it in place, and then grind and smooth the repair, and then paint.

how big is the hole ? ,, you might be able to use redcote by applying duct tape over hole and allowing curing time .OlGentdc

I once repaired a hydraulic reservoir with a budwieser can and jb weld, lasted for years.
