Need some help with my IH Farmall Super M. I have no spark at the points/plugs. Replaced plugs, wires, condenser. It has a push/pull ignition switch, I jumped the 2 wires on the switch with no change. Seems a simple fix, just not familiar with these tractors. It did run and start very well prior. Thanks

Is it a Magneto or a battery powered distributor ignition?????? Regardless, burned or corroded or pitted points are a typical cause of no spark.

If its a battery powered distributor ignition work my Troubleshooting Procedure below. Insure there's voltage getting to the coils input when the switch is ON or jumped across and likewise, there needs to be voltage getting to that switches input, is there??

If its a Magneto, when that switch is closed OFF that kills the spark but if open ON the mag can fire.

Mag or Battery Powered???

If battery powered work through my procedure.

Thanks I'll give it a try

Rub the points with a point file or use a piece of
320 wet or dry until they're shiny. Then see if you have fire to your plugs. If this tractor has a distributor make sure you have battery voltage to your coil. Hal
