Which gauge wire should I use to replace ammeter and lights wiring
on my "H" Farmall?

I would use 12 Gauge stranded copper in the charging circuit, from genny to Regulator or Cutout to ammeter to battery source etc., (if an alternator I bump that up to 10 gauge) while 14 gauge would suffice for lights and ignition. If you only wanted or needed to buy a single roll of wire, no harm in using 12 Gauge for it all. Of course on 6 volt systems I like at least 0 better yet 00 Gauge Battery and Starter and Ground Cables.
