Hey: can anyone explain how to remove & replace the rear wheel studs (lugs) on a 1974 ford 2000 tractor? They are not responding to tapping them out. Thanx

As old as the answer is get a bigger hammer. Lug studs are
splined in and after many years they're just stuck. In extreme
situations I have cut them off flush with a cut off wheel and
used an air hammer on them.

I had to replace a couple on a much larger tractor two years ago. besides a very big hammer I used a fair amount of heat on the axle beside the stud.
