Ignition Questions

Hello, I am new to the forum and the whole restoration process. I have a 48 farmall super A. Ive replaced the plugs and plug wires, as well as the coil. It still is not getting spark. So this would only leave the distributor, correct? should I just replace the points and condensors and the cap? or is there more to it.
Thanks!

I would take a look at my Ignition Troubleshooting Procedure which may help versus just throwing parts at it.

A common cause of no spark is points that are burned or pitted or even gray oxide coated, you might try to clean/buff/polish them first and see if she fires. If they are so bad they need filed that may get you going but once the shiny silvery coating is gone they don't last too long.

Check and clean points and check the gap and see what happens. Make sure theres hot voltage getting to the coils input when ign is switched ON.

About 95% of the time no spark is due to dirty or corroded points. Now days I have found that replacing the condenser is a gamble so I do not replace them since so many are bad right out of the box. If I remember right point gap is 0.020

if you are getting power to the coil primary, check to see if you have power ont he wire betweent he coil and distribuitor ( the other side of the primary. ).. that wire should alternate from bat volts to 0 depending on if points are open or closed.

the others gave you good ideas of what to check vs the points.
