Can someone tell me the "tricks of the trade" on successful decal applications.

Follow instructions that come in the kit- for wet or dry apps. Clean, dry surfaces are a must. Long ones, like brand names, scribe a light pencil line for matching the edge to the surface. Apply the center first, smooth out toward the edges. Wet decals can be slid a bit to align. Wet may be smoothed with a sponge- check for little air bubbles. Determine and mark locations first. Extra, steady hands will help. If decals arrive curled in a tube, etc., flatten and cover with weight to stay flat.

A drop of liquid soap in a pan of water or a squirt bottle. wet the area where the decal is going to be placed.This allows you to move the decal to where you want it without sticking immediately. Install the decal, then use a credit card or plastic body putty applicator to squeeze the water out.
