How to find year, model, serial #, etc.

My brother acquired an Oliver tractor in excellent condition a few years ago. He was away from the storage location for several months, and someone stole the radiator. He was so angry he just walked away and let it set.

I have talked him into getting a radiator and hoses. He says that was all it needed to run/use.
Unfortunately, he doesn"t remember the Model #, the year, serial #, etc. He thinks it is a Model 550, but he isn"t sure. It has a wide front end

Where do we look on the tractor to find this information?

Thanks,
NEWBIES

If it is a 550 the tag should be right down by the clutch pedal. Post the numbers on the Oliver forum.

We found the tag just where you said. It's covered w/paint. I'll post the numbers when we get the tag cleaned up and can read it.

THANKS A LOT!!!!!!

Dave

It appears to be a 1960. There's a guy by the name of Kent who checks the Oliver forum. He parts out Super 55s and 550s. Good chance he'll have one. I'd post over there and repost those numbers.
