Starter switch on transmission

Howdy,

Will I need to look for or do anything special when I pull the cover off of the transmission on my Jubilee so that I can change the starter switch?

a great question for the ford boards.

put trans in neutral, remove neg bat cable, remove wire from thumb starter switch.

remove peremiter bolts on trans cover.

carefully lif the cover. there is a spring held in back by a tab.. that spring holds a ball. occasionally they lift out or fly. just go slow and no issues.

clean old gasket off, use new gasket.

pry up keepers and take nut off. remove old switch. put new switch and gasket in.. and go reverse order. hole is D shaped. so only goes in 1 way.
