jd 50 fan support shims

ASSUMING the fan drive is bolted TIGHT to the governor housing and the gears are correctly set up, you want the front support to steady the fan in place without tugging the tube out of place.

Clear as mud???

Thanks. In other words, when the shaft is tight, it shouldn't have to be "pulled down any to rest on the support. Correct?

Yes, that"s correct, IMHO.

Of course, if the tube has been bent or distorted, there"s gonna be other (gear) issues.
