I have torn the tractor clear apart to remove the fan discs from both sides of the fan. I can't get the fan compressed enough to get the keepers out from under the collar in front of the fan. Any help greatly app. Later Kenny

Well, rest assured it DOES come apart! If you have it all apart, that"s an advantage, "cuz you can put it in a press and rig up a "bridge" setup to depress the spring adequately to release the keepers.

(The last one I did, I used a HD valve spring compressor, and it was a bit hairy!)

Photo of a "bridge" tool a LOT deeper than you"d need to rig up, being used to depress automatic transmission clutch return springs.
