going to change engines from a 330 hd V8 to 300 cu in 6 cyl. Will the 4 spd trans fit the 3 spd bellhousing Both are 1967 models

Not sure on a Ford, lot of other stuff to check, like the input shaft length, clutch spline, pilot bearing/bushing, release bearing size and length...

Iv'e been in on some 6cyl to 8cyl Ford car swaps, not a pretty sight! A LOT of differences, not just the engine/trans, but the whole car!

It is possible the 4 speed will fit the 3 speed bell housing, but I wouldn't bet on it. If it doesn't, I'm sure there is an abundance of 4 speed bell housings out there somewhere.

I am curious as to what vehicle the 300 came out of, since it has a 3 speed?

You are working with an F600 truck, right?

If so, likely using an pickup (F100) transmission will leave you with a truck with no emergency/parking brake.
