Jubilee lift problem

The lift on my tractor will raise to top, stay there a few seconds and then start going down. It will not raise again until it has gone all the way down. It is terribly aggravating when I am using the post hole digger. I have changed the fluid, and it didn"t help. I"ve used some ATF and it didn"t help. What do I need to do next?

Act same whether in Position control mode or Draft control mode? Will it hold a midway position when in Position control mode? If raised & kill engine will it hold in that raised position or leak down quickly? What happens if you stop the lift a few inches short of all the way up?

If I kill the motor when the lift is at the top, it bleeds down fast until about 3/4 and then goes down very slow. If I only lift it to about 3/4 it holds ok and responds ok to the lever. The draft control lever is back, if I move it forward, the lift goes down.

t sounds like that when you go all the way to the top the piston skirt is coming out of the cylinder enough to hit a pin in the control linkage that moves the linkage & control valve from LIFT to NEUTRAL/HOLD and further to LOWER. It should only move to NEUTRAL/HOLD, but probably due to wear or mis-adjustment it is going further. If you use touch control lever to make it rise very slowly in that last 1/4, it MAY not drop at the top.

Most people say the draft control lever moves up and down, while touch control moves forward and back.

The draft control is up... if I move it down, the lift goes down... Thanks, and thanks for the advise on trying to raise it slow, I'll give that a try...
