sand blast cabinet

Mine is a "Magnum air" blaster. I have seen it in TSC, Carquest, Napa and Harbour frieght Flyers same blaster with different names. I've had no trouble with mine. Had it for ten years.

There are a lot of variables to consider, the size of the part, the frequency of use, and the compressor capacity.

For small parts and home workshop application, the economy model should work fine. But, be sure your compressor can handle it. The specs will tell the CFM requirements. You'll need to match this number with the compressor capacity. If your compressor is a little small, but has a good size storage tank you can use it intermittently, but have to stop and let the compressor catch up.

I don't have any particular brand preference, bigger is better, the industrial units are quite pricey but better built. A dust collector is nice too, keeps the air clear inside so you can see what you're doing.

The nozzle tip, glass and gloves will need replacing with use. Be sure you can get replacement parts.

Check out tp tools dot com. I bought a scat blast cabinet for my shop, very happy with it. Their service and replacement parts support is excellent. We use aluminum oxide blast media. Cuts well, lasts a long time. Set your pressure between 60 and 90 psi. Above that and you just wear out media.
