Massey 65 Hydraulics

Can anyone please explain to me in a nut shell the easiest way to change out my hydraulic pump inside my tractors casing? I am guessing I need to split the tractor. Also, is my best bet to buy a new pump or try and rework the existing one? Thanks..

Get a manual! You'll be glad you did!

Pretty sure you don't split the case, at least you don't on a TO series Massey. It comes out through the top.

I reworked my pump, but it was quite a job. Seems the aftermarket parts weren't machined right, had I not had a surface grinder the parts would have gone back as unusable.

Best bet will be to buy a rebuilt pump unless you're equipped for fitting close tolerances.

it's thru the top on the MF 35 and 50. I think on the 65 too. Pretty simple job on the 50. re-ring the lift cylinder too.
