D14 spin out rims

I have a D14 that has a rim that is rusted out near the nipple. Can these be repaired or should I look for a used/new rim? Any pointers?

I will assume by nipple you mean valve stem. I have repaired them by taking a standard piece of steel from the hardware store rack that has a curved cross section, cutting out the hole with my grinder to fit a piece, and welding it in.

I just had the same problem on the spin outs on my MM.
Previous owner tacked a piece of flat stock on the inside and
redrilled a new hole at another spot on the rim. His repair
looked pretty bad. I needed new tires so I had the rims
sandblasted, and then had both the rusted out hole, and the
new hole repaired with new metal and welding. We spun the
rims and drilled the valve stem hole on the inside of the rim
(now will be the outside) to hide the repairs.
