How strong is the spark? Take a wire off a spark
plug, laying it against a metal part on the
crawler and stick a spark plug in the wire that
has the ground electrode removed or bent way out
of place. If you have ample spark to start a cold
engine - you will see a blue spark jumping a 1/4"
. If you have that for sure - then - after
cranking - remove a spark plug from the engine and
see if it's wet with gas. If dry - you've got fuel
problems. Any gas engine needs fuel, ample spark
at the correct time, and compression. If all else
fails - check compression. Valves often recede in
the head of 1010s and result in the rocker arms
being too tight. If no compression - check the
rocker arm adjustments.
