Removed tires from rear rims,VERY rusty,I mean thick andtight.Wire brush on angle grinder just polished rust.Soaked rims with PB BLASTER three times,a day apart, that worked wonders.Wire brush cleaned them good. How do you clean rust off inner tubes?THANK YOU GP

don't mean to be smart, but get new ones cheap insurance. I wouldn't put used tubes back in after all that work. And use a hammer to knock the the rust clumps off don't beat just tap a little.

I agree.Put in new tubes. But if you must use the old tubes( BTDT),Inflate them and use a wire brush.Pick off some of the tighter stuff.Just work at it

I would use an epoxy primer on those rims then paint them with some acrylic enamel. New Holland has it for less than $20.00 for a quart. Then install new tubes. Hal

apply used oil to the wheel every day and set it in the hot sun for a week ,,that cragggly stuff will fall off ,, and you can readily apply paint to the steel,,.
