skid loader hydraulics

Hello all,

So im waiting for my hydraulic pump to get fixed I dropped it off at Baltimore Hydraulics last week, as I wait im still designing my grapple attachment and wondering if an 12 volt Actuator is the best option for pushing and pulling the grapple? I would add a hydraulic cylinder however, looking at my hydro manifold I have no spare ports, question : could I add a hydraulic T in one of the supply and return lines or am I better off just running a 12 volt actuator? I figured price wise by the time I buy the cylinder and all the lines , some kind of controller It might be more cost effective to buy the 12 volt actuator , run some wire , and it comes in a kit 2 actuators , wiring, and control for 125.00

I don't really know but I don't think that actuators hav much power so that you may pick something up only to have it drop out. Perhaps they have them with a lower pitch to the screw, but then it would be slow.

Not sure either , the specs say it has a lifting capacity of 500lbs and im getting a pair. im going to be clearing bushes and stuff on my land and maybe picking up one end of trees cut down and dragging them out of the woods. my wish would be to just add a hydraulic cylinder but I have no where to hook up the lines to that's why I thought just add a T to each supply and return line, add a controller but I don't know if that would work and I don't want to over work my pumps, 1972 !
