Case 435 & 445 Square Baler New Idea 551

I am restoring a Case 435 square baler circa 1994 and parts are unavailable. Good baler, would work good. Needs needles and new plunger assembly

Any ideas on where to get parts, are the needles and plunger assembly able to be outfitted with stock common needles and plunger parts? Could a stock needle for sale be adjusted to clear? Any tips/ideas/parts available?

I have repaired many needles over the years. I have welded broken ,straightened bent. Remember, the needles job is to deliver the twine to the knotter without hitting it. Nothing fancy, just deliver the twine. If you have the old ones you can repair them. If yours is bent you can use a good one as a template to set the arch on yours. Heat a little, straighten a little. go slow and let them cool slowly. Hate to count how many bales have been tyed with needles that I have fixed. Call me if you need more detail on how to do this.
