Front bucket won't work anymore

I have a Massy Work Bull that had a broken bottom plate on the 2 spool control. I fixed that & put the control back together, changed all the fluid & filters, but now the bucket will not work. I get some play in the front cylinders (about 1/2") but that is it. I drained & changed the fluid again because it still had a bunch of water in it (tractor sat for years before I bought it) and no change. Anyone have any ideas of what I could try next? Thanks in advance for any ideas/suggestions.

The bottom plate on the control valve... I'm
assuming this is the port plate the spool valves
bolt to?

And you fixed it by replacing it?

If so, pull the plate back off and compare it with
the original one. Carefully examine where each
port goes. There are different configurations
depending on the application. They look the same
from the outside but are drilled differently
internally. Also some can be installed backward,
most can't but some can.

Also check your line connections.
The P port is oil pressure coming from the pump.
The T port is return to tank.
The A port goes to one end of a cylinder or set of cylinders.
The B port goes to the other end of the same cylinder or set of cylinders

Thank you for your reply. I took it all a part again & found the spear looking thing with the spring on it that sits between the valves wasn't in quite right. With it seated in properly I have my use of the front bucket back, but I now have my leak back as well!
The tractor has the old AGIO control & the bottom plate had broken, been welded & broke again. Since it is cast iron, it isn't going to hold and finding a replacement hasn't gone so well. I haven't been able to find a foundry to make a new plate so I was just going to put on a new one, but have not been sucessfull in finding correct replacement for the plate or the two spool control. I took the control to the local hydraulic shop and they told me they don't make a replacement for either the plate or the control. I have been checking the bone yards, but still nothing. Any suggestions? Surely with all the work bulls still in use their must be a 2 spool control that is compatable.

I would think just about any control valve assembly would work, as in replace the whole thing, valves and base plate. As long as the supply lines were the same size it should work.

You can find brand new, 2 spool control valves on Amazon. Might have a slightly different mounting bolt pattern, but grab your drill and you can make it work. Way less hassle and probably cheaper than trying to fix that original.
