Hydraulic Pump

Hi all,
Still working out some bugs, I thought my pumps were ok they
seemed to work good when I first finished the project . Well I
went to the garage and saw a small puddle and started looking
around at the hoses and they were all dry so I started the skid
loader up and watched real close and saw what appears to be
hydro fluid coming out from around the pulley. I attached some
pictures, any idea if this is an easy gasket type of issue or
should I take it to Baltimore hydraulics? Any idea how to get
that pulley off? Book tells me nothing thanks Scott

You probably need a puller it's probably a pressed fit on the shaft. Are two of the holes in the flange tapped with threads? Hal

That's a two piece pulley. It should have two bolts in the two bigger holes which thread into the hub, and to separate it, you would put the bolts into the other holes and tighten them evenly until they separate. Then slide off the shaft.

The pulley hub is on a taper in the pulley bore. Do as Larry said. When you put it back on be aware that the pulley will move slightly when you tighten the screws. Figure that in when you align the belt. You don't want it rubbing the pulley flange.
I've been following your posts for a while. You've been to hell and back with this machine. I admire your determination.

Looking at the pics again, the pulley has one flange. It should have two. PO most likely tried to use a puller on it. That's a timing belt pulley. If you want to replace it, they're standardized by pitch, number of teeth, face width, bore size and flanged or no flange. You can get one from any industrial drive supplier or someone like MSC or Grainger.

Thank you, after going through as much as I have with this machine failure is not an option. No matter what I have to do I"m too far into it to stop now, but at the end of the day the education I have gotten with this project is second to none.
I did decide to drop it off to Baltimore Hydraulics next week and let them go thru the pump, while I wait I"m starting on a grapple attachment .
