Oliver 1600 gas cylinder crack problem (with Pict)

Good ol' girl started puking coolant out of the exhaust. Don't think we ever hydrolocked her.

Tore off the head and had it checked and all is well. Engine was just redone 200 hours ago.

Looking further found two cylinders with cracks in the liners like you see in the pict. All the way around the circum. of the liner about .125 to .25 down.

Any thoughts on what could cause this?

check sleeves for proper protusion and that the counterbores were cleaned properly before sleeve installation

These engines were 3.500 bore when they were new. If its had 3.750 sleeves put in it and some one used a head gasket for the smaller bore it can cause this. Just a guess.
