Has anyone used jb weld where it was submerged in gas like inside a carberator? I need to fill some pin holes in the nozzle tube on a dltx that was welded together.

Yes. I used JB Weld to secure a riser pipe to the inlet of the sediment bowl which is totally submerged in gasoline all the time. No problems for atleast 10 years now.
 
Thanks for the info. I can sleep better now not having to worry about all those little passages,I just cleaned getting stopped up again.
 
I use JB Weld on the filter screens that I build for
most of our tractors. No problem in several years.

The best stuff I have used was a product called Marine-Tex. It's been used to seal up fuel tanks on boats and ships. I used it to connect my sons Camaro fuel inlet back on the tank. It's available at ACE Hardware.

Hi i seem to remember having a packet here on the shelf in Canada thats fuel resistant.It"s not just regular JB weld. I think I saw 2 different types on the shelf with my parts guys in town, The last time I was in the glue and sealer rack.

used JB weld to repair some holes in the bottom of a JD B gas tank , did 2 coats with some screen to strangthen it , 10 years later its still holding w/ no problems & used no sealer on the inside of tank , allmost forgot i patched that tank
 
I have used it on a plastic fuel tank on a lawn tractor.. so far so good thats been couple years ago..
 
Ethanol in the gas would make it questionable. I bought a 1969 GMC in 1993. had to put a new fuel tank in it 2 years ago. The JB weld patch the previous owner put on finally let go.
