Farmall h steering

I have a 1950 farmall h. And I bought the seal and felt washer for the upper bolster pivot shaft. But I'm not sure how to get the shaft out? Any help would be appreciated.

I back the nut out so it is flush with the end, jack the front up so the wheels are just off the ground, then give it a good pop with big hammer.

The threads will be protected by the nut.

Do I remove the lower bolster too?

I left mine on until the gear broke loose for added weight.
