I need a felt packing for a 1941 JD B. It goes in the flywheel spacer on the left side of the crankshaft. YT doesn't have it nor my local parts store. Any ideas or other sources? Maybe bulk material to make one, or oversized "O" Ring?

Older spacers used a cork ring, # A130R, newer units use part # B3028R, which is a rubber ring.

Either appears to be still available from DEERE.

Thanks Bob, Mine had a cork ring. I did call the local JD shop and ordered the 3028 model. My parts book doesn't tell what the difference is but I hope you are right. I'm afraid putting a cork ring in might be difficult without breaking it. Thanks

Here's the dimensions of the B3028R...

Inside Diameter 2.236 IN
Outside Diameter 2.512 IN
Thickness 0.141 IN
Durometer 70
Material RUBBER

B130R is the crankshaft seal number.Available from Deere It is cork and not hard to replace. It helps to soak it in oil prior to installation. Also you need to center that outside cover around the oil slinger where you installed the cork seal.Just use a thin feeler guage and run it around the slinger. I think it is about .005.
